Students and staff at Holcombe Grammar School are celebrating after receiving their A-Level results and are now set to progress on to an exciting array of universities, apprenticeships and jobs.
This year, students at the school have achieved another set of very good results. After three years of disrupted and adapted examinations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the school is delighted to report that all of its headline measures have shown improvement from 2019, highlighting how the school has improved in recent years. Nearly 20% of all grades were at A or A* (compared to nearly 15% in 2019) and nearly 72% of grades were A* to C (compared to 65% in 2019).
Holcombe Grammar has also seen particular success in subjects including Chemistry, Physics, Psychology and Finance this year.
While all students have done well and should feel proud of their achievements, there are some standout individual results. These include:

Collecting his A Level results today, student Hathem Trabelsi said:
“When it comes to school, you get out what you put in. If you get your head down, your grades go up. I’m now looking forward to going to University to study Software Engineering. I’ve been here seven years and would like to thank all the staff for supporting me over this time.”

It has been a delight to see their knowledge and understanding excel during their qualifications and to see them foster a real joy for learning that will stand them in good stead for the working world.“We are pleased to see the huge range of next steps our students are embarking on, across disciplines and destinations. I would like to thank our wonderful staff as well as our families and wider community for supporting our students throughout their time at Holcombe.”
