11+ Familiarisation Resources – Pupil Premium
When it comes to the Medway Test, we know that not everyone has the same access to additional support at home through private additional tuition. To help children develop their skills, confidence and subject knowledge, the school is partnering with Atom Learning, a leading learning and 11+ preparation platform for students aged 7 – 11. This will provide those eligible for pupil premium support with free access to a range of fun and engaging materials online, to help them progress during Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (specifically ages 7-11).
The programme is designed to benefit all participants whatever their current attainment level, but it may be helpful in familiarising those hoping to apply to academically selective secondary schools such as Holcombe Grammar School, with some of the topics and skills that they might encounter within the testing/selection processes.
If your child has been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years (which will deem that they are eligible for pupil premium support), they will be given entirely free access to Atom Home by registering via our link below. You do not need to be planning to apply to Holcombe Grammar School to be eligible for this support.
Whilst the resources include some mock 11+ style tests, they are focussed on the acquisition of knowledge and skills which are applicable to all.
